Everyday, the equivalent of four fully-loaded 747 airplanes crash, killing everyone on board. 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. 1600 lost souls everyday, just in America. If this were really happening it would be the lead story on the nightly news. We would scream for the planes to stop flying, for the manufacturer to stop all production. We would insist on a government investigation. We would want to know – why is it happening? How do we stop it? And who’s to blame?
But that is precisely what is happening everyday with cancer.
Cancer will soon become the number one killer in America. Currently, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will get cancer in the United States. And the rest of the world is quickly following suit. Only it’s not broadcast on the nightly news or streamed to YouTube. It’s not violent and unexpected. It’s not some horrific terrorist event. It happens quietly in the hospices, hospitals, and homes across this country – quietly family members hold the hands of their loved ones and say goodbye, quietly cancer patients gasp for one last breath, quietly the cancer epidemic continues.
The current system is broken. We need a different direction. We need a better way.
This film will explore the current state of cancer medicine, research, and alternatives. If you’d like to donate, please visit the “F the big C” Indiegogo site for more information.
